Remember When Emma Stone Was A Goofy Dancer On VH1

Remember When is the weekly column in which we remind you of all the silly roles stars had before they were famous. Have a tip? Shoot us an email!
I always thought Emma Stone just kind of magically appeared in 2007. Like she never had bad jobs. She just suddenly appeared in Angel producer Tim Minear’s Drive and Superbad fully formed and full of funny. She was one of the lucky ones.
This is because I don’t watch VH1. I didn’t then and I don’t now. So I missed her appearance in the reality show, In Search of the Partridge Family.
The best part is when they held hands.
The reality show was supposed to be the launching point for a great new Partridge Family empire but the show, The New Partridge Family, never made it past the pilot. Something I suspect Stone is grateful for.
This does explain why she was so awesome singing about pockets full of sunshine that one time though.
She was only a teenager when she appeared on the reality show and she was also only a teenager when she appeared on Medium in 2005.
And–wait–Ms. Stone WHERE ARE YOU CLOTHES. I feel like Steven Spielberg when he saw Drew Barrymore in Playboy. I suddenly have the urge to send Emma Stone a giant blanket and a paternal sounding note. It’s like that time the one girl got topless in Fame. There’s something deeply ookey about it. Maybe it’s because she’s a teen and topless? Or maybe it’s because I’m a closet prude.
Stone is currently starring in The Help which premiered on Wednesday, but she’ll always be crooning and doing a goofy little dance on VH1 in my heart and never a topless teen.
