• Nathan’s Final Farewell From Misfits and Trailer for Season 3

Robert Sheehan leaving the BAFTA-winning Misfits is an absolute gut punch, both to fans of the show and to his career (have you seen the films he’s made in the interim? Exactly.) But sadly, Sheehan and his character, Nathan, are leaving and they’re nothing we can do to stop it. Cue tears.

At least they were nice enough to make a short film showing what happened to Nathan. That’s actually hella neat. Usually when an actor leaves a show we get some half-assed explanation and they’re never spoken of AGAIN.

Oh Nathan, hiding money chips in your girlfriend’s hoohah via magic. Awesome.

But what about the rest of the gang? They’ll be back shortly for season 3 which looks to be the same mix of irreverent assholes, super hoodie fights and cursing. I’m not crazy about the new guy yet, but this show and its characters have a tendency to wriggle their way into your heart no matter how terrible they are.

Misfits season 3 will premiere on E4 later this fall but you can watch seasons 1 and 2 on Hulu RIGHT NOW.

    EDIT

Both videos appear to have been pulled but if you’re a Brit you can head over to the E4 Misfits website and check out both videos.

I haven’t been as passionate about a tv show as I am about Misfits since I discovered Buffy all those years ago. Nathan’s departure makes me cry hardcore. I’m in the same boat as you are, re: Rudy, but this show has failed to ever let me down, so I have faith.
