Sexy Sunday: Demian Bichir

Like a lot of American I didn’t notice the hotness factor of Demián Bichir until he was on Weeds spanking Mary Louise Parker and working a major component of a Mexican drug cartel…and also as the mayor of Tijuana.

But after those first few episodes I was kind of in love–not with his character. That guy is abusive, controlling, evil, and murdered off-screen. No, I was a little in love with Mr. Bichir himself.

The guy is great looking

Broody guys with stubble and dark suits is my catnip?

but he’s also a fantastic actor with a massive filmography of great films in Mexico.

And once upon a time four years ago he was one of the best parts of Steven Soderbergh’s plodding Che. Playing? Fidel Castro.

I'd overthrow a government for him.

And right now? Right now he’s busy being in the running for a Best Actor award at the Oscars for playing a determined immigrant in A Better Life.

Good luck Mr. Bichir. I will be rooting for you, and also watching all of your films from Mexico.
