I’m always sort of astounded when a show about lesbians gets green lit.
I’m used to bisexual best friends or sweeps lesbians or lesbians in an ensemble of shows that are promptly cancelled and never spoken of again. I’m never used to a show that features lesbians in the log line. The last time that happened and they weren’t just lesbians in eye sex only was Ellen’s show back in the mid-90s!
So yeah I’m going to cover every bit of news about Jennifer Lopez’s lesbian cops adoption show coming to ABC Family next year because I’m still in shock it even EXISTS.
And now it’s more tangible than ever as Deadline is reporting that the lady leads have been cast.
That’s Teri Polo who everyone keeps mentioning was in the Meet the Parents series. I prefer to think of her time smooching Jimmy Smits on West Wing. That’s Sherri Saum right next to her. Deadline name drops her work on In Treatment but let’s all remember her work on One Life To Live instead.
Yet to be cast is the teenager Saum’s cop insists they adopt in the pilot. Also, you know, the rest of the kids they have.
