This is not even remotely what a Texas Ranger would wear but it was the only image I could find of Helfer in anything close to an actual cowboy hat.
I can honestly say I never thought I’d see the day where I could seriously compare Battlestar Galactica‘s Six to Chuck Norris, but because she’s starring in this new tv show KILLER WOMAN and it’s about a badass practically perfect in every way lady Texas Ranger I can now let the comparisons begin.
Pretty sure she’d win. You know Helfer rides motorcycles? And can punch real good. And probably looks way better in her Ranger Wranglers, Justin Boots and cowboy hat? And, oh yeah, bitch can ACT.
CAN CHUCK DO THAT?
But seriously. Tricia Helfer is playing a Texas Ranger with a degree in gender studies, who is also a sharpshooter and master interrogation specialist and one of only two women in the force. It’s based on the Argentinean series (note not telenovela) Mujeres Asesinas. That show was specifically about how women are affected by violence and committed it. This one, produced by the incredibly savvy Sofia Vergara and written by Hannah Shakespeare will probably use the character’s background in gender studies and her status in a VERY male-dominated field (there are only two women Rangers currently working in the organization today) to do the exact same thing.
