So much of pop culture is formed and perpetuated by dudes. Even mainstream female critics are careful never to overly stray from a traditional male approach to their critique. Feminist entertainment sites exist, but either continue in this mindset or alienate a wider audience. FemPop is something new.

FemPop provides an alternative view while maintaining a sense of humor.  Feminism isn’t an easy word for many contemporary readers to get behind. We know that through humor, honesty, and writing well, we will present a new, universally understood idea of what it means to be a feminist today.

As feminists we’re committed to giving voice to disenfranchised groups and providing a safe space where we can all come together and communicate our love and our criticism of the media that inundates our world.
