So much of pop culture is formed and perpetuated by dudes. Even mainstream female critics are careful never to overly stray from a traditional male approach to their critique. Feminist entertainment sites exist, but either continue in this mindset or alienate a wider audience. FemPop.com is something new.
FemPop provides an alternative view while maintaining a sense of humor. Feminism isn’t an easy word for many contemporary readers to get behind. We know that through humor, honesty, and writing well, we will present a new, universally understood idea of what it means to be a feminist today.
