This isn’t a Star Trek spoof for a Star Trek lover (please see Galaxy Quest). This is a spoof of a spoof. It’s like the Russian nesting dolls of the general population’s expectations of Star Trek and Hollywood.

Here I am busy all fighting the good fight and being critical of sexism and highlighting awesome women and I’ve still been so indoctrinated by the sexism rampant in comics that these heroes seemed off somehow.

The people don’t understand satire. Satire is social activisim via wit. It’s shinning a light on horrible systematic injustices by exposing them. A white guy getting up at an awards show that is predominately white and guyish and then smugly shitting all over everyone who isn’t a 30+ white guy? That’s just an asshole.
